Bearded Reedling...

A very warm and sunny Saturday, so up early for a local wander and it turned out to be a successful wander! Especially spotting this lovely bearded reedling who was happy to pose!  I took a different pathway today so lesson learned haha!

Also saw a Great Crested Grebe, various Egrets, swans, reed warblers, goldfinches and very happy to see a small copper butterfly - my first sighting of the year - and some brown argus too!  Quite a few butterflies in the garden this afternoon too including peacock and  red admiral.

been baking again too - I'm determined to put the apples from the tree to good use this year!
