August in Andalucia
A blue and golden day in the hills today, not a whisp of a cloud and a cool 33C.
-Extra: In the arid conditions of summer the holm oak or ballota oak (Quercus rotundifolia) is a joy to see. It is evergreen and native to this western Mediterranean region. The majority of these oaks are on the Iberian peninsular. It produces sweet-astringent acorns which are loved by pigs and goats. If you are in to cold meats as tapas, you may appreciate acorn-fed Iberian sausage and ham, really delicious
