So Many Swallowtails

We plant a lot of parsley for these beauties. Recently, I have seen as many as 20 on my butterfly bush. It always makes me smile to see so many in my gardens. It looks like this one has already lost its little tail. Looking around, I noticed several were damaged. Last week, a large bug was attacking one on my back patio but it flew away as I rounded the corner. Guess butterflies can have a rough life. Hubby had trash pick up early this morning. His crew was finished in 1.5 hours. His nicest treasures today were a $5.00 bill and large bolt. I really did not have any big jobs on the to do list. We had rain off and on all day so we stayed inside once he got home. I read most of the day. The book is “The Art Collector’s Daughter” by Derville Murphy. Enjoying it. Parker came by to pick up a nice Columbia fleece jacket my sister found for him. He took home some of my “Juicy Lucy” meatloaf to compare with the one he made with venison. I probably have mentioned a Juicy Lucy before. Milwaukee, WI made them famous so we tried one on our cross country trip in 2016. Basically, you put the cheese inside the burger where it melts while cooking, quite delicious. Parker and his friends like wild game so he made them a similar meatloaf and it was quite the hit. Along with his landscaping business, he just got another job as cart boy at our local golf course. He is such an ambitious young man. We will go to Mass tonight at 5:00. Then hubby’s council has their installation of officers followed by dinner. One of our favorite caterers is providing the meal. Wishing you an enjoyable evening. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “It wouldn't be summer without butterflies dancing in the sky.” - Lovetoknow.com
