Safe Harbor

We had another Knights’ installation of officers event this morning. Hubby and I had breakfast and headed to St. Francis Xavier Church. I have blipped it in the past. The council booked a local seafood restaurant for their reception. The owner forgot to tell his staff so we had a 20 minute wait. No one minded when they saw/tasted the buffet: warm crab dip with crusty bread, steamed shrimp, NY strip steak, crab balls, fried chicken, salad and side vegetables. We had a marble cake for dessert. No dinner will be served at this house tonight. We sat with my secretary from many, many years ago. She moved to a financial analyst position after I transferred from our office. We’ve remained good friends so it was fun to catch up. The men have become friends as well through the Knights organization. There was a marina on the way home so that is where I stopped for a blip. The sky was nice and the water calm. But we are expecting severe storms to arrive at any moment so the sailors were wise not to be out in the bay. It’s Sunday; house work can wait until tomorrow. I finished my novel last night after 2:00 am; we’ll probably have an early night tonight. Hope your weekend was splendid. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Happy the man who from the sea escapes the storm and finds (safe) harbor.” - Euripides
