Gong

Started out with a quick visit to the Paperwork exhibition at the Ski Club on Dundas Street. "Marion Barron, Trevor Davies and Ruth Thomas present their new works on paper – drawings, collages, prints and paintings."

Then to the West End; sheltered in a doorway from an unexpected shower and talked to the baker. Found what I wanted in the Boots on Palmerston Place, then looped back to the Arts Club on Rutland Square where they have the dinner gong. Looked around their artists exhibition; didn't do it justice because the speaker for the lunchtime talk was setting up and the lights were down in the main upstairs room.

From there to the West End crafts faire ; bought a large silver neck piece, partly black oxidised, from GracieJ . Had a flat white at the cafe in the bottom corner, watched people, bought some cards. Back through George Street which was just waking up, on to Broughton to pick up a newspaper.

Another short outing after supper just before another shower came on. Leith Walk was busy with some people challenged by the city.
