The one to watch
We think (hope) we have found the answer. A bit clunky but it does the job and has passed all the tests other than ‘falls alarm’, but I’m waiting for my opportunity to trip Mrs W up . . . The sensitivity of the falls alarm had to be reduced as it was going off to easily.
It also has an accurate GPS location system, not that I let Mrs W out on her own these days . . . (that’s me in trouble again – twice on this blip alone!).
There is an annual fee as it goes through a call centre, but you have the choice of ‘monitored’ which we currently don’t need, and automatically directed to ‘friends and family’ which we want (and is about a third of the cost). For a ‘smart watch’ we would have had to pay for a mobile account anyway and that was more than the falls alarm.
A gentle day today just catching up with the ‘budget’ accounting, and cooking – regulation Sunday breakfast and dinner.
