Skyline
I was at the garage at 10 AM, as requested. The part needed to ensure a smooth ride finally arrived. Keith said he needed an hour, so I was prepared to wait there and was glad to have a catch-up call with G.
At noon, I could see more time was needed, so I got dropped off at Festival City, where I arrived in time for lunch. M&S makes a delicious tuna melt toastie, and for an extra £1, I got soup too! I couldn't help noticing a diner who walked in wearing a polo shirt with "Welcoming Team" written on the back in large letters. She has got to be from Fellowship, I thought. My deduced guess was confirmed when I went up to her table. She was with a fellow teacher, so I introduced them to an M&S Magic coffee while we chatted.
The car was finally ready around 3 PM, so having had a post-lunch coffee, I decided to go for a drive to give it a run. I have to say, it is lovely not to hear any sounds - no squeaking, no knocking, nothing. I didn't go too far and was soon heading back on the E44, a road I love to drive on to approach the city. I love taking in the skyline all in one frame. Despite not having my trusted friend to take the shot for me, I managed to get my blip by just holding the camera up and hoping for the best. :))
Home for the rest of the evening, plans scuppered etc. I did the ironing. My room will have to be done after I finish work in the coming days. I had hoped to start work on a new video, something I haven't managed in weeks, but that might have to wait as well. *Sigh*
PS. In case you are wondering, we've had strong winds and lots of dust in the sky, combined with high humidity. This is the view on a better day.
