From the Bedroom
No time to linger today. CMC’s brother arrived early today. I skimmed the grass, fixed the lock on the door, drilled holes in the base of the door, tried to fix the hose connection. Then CMC’s sister arrived. All three chatted non-stop as they are rarely together. CMC cooked a fine lunch. CMC and her brother departed for the ferry to, eventually, travel sooth to Huntly. For their brother-in-law died last week and the funeral is on Monday. It is a release for their other sister as she has nursed her man for such a long time.
Tonight I am expecting visitors (amongst them Malcolm and Russel, 8 and 6,) from the ferry coming up from Aberdeen. I made a loaf and prepared a vegetable bake for tomorrow. For I am expecting visitors from Lauder. All of this without the tender guidance of CMC. The first time I have been in solo charge of HQ. Without a manual.
