Meantime - at the Beach

I have to admit this scene wasn’t foreseen in my tea leaves.  Today we are having to cut an onion in half to have a damn good greet – we are saying goodbye to our Nairn chums.  However, speaking as one finds they are proving helpful as they will be the mules with a ‘package’ for our Forres correspondent.  I wheeked across to see my Mum, got messages, and returned to base (as instructed).  The wind is meant to get up the morn’s morn so we wrestled the cover back on to the poly tunnel.  We will also be going on an exotic journey as tonight we will be facilitating a dance event in the Hoy Kirk.

The story goes around Orkney of years ago when folk fae Stronsay were waiting on the pier to get the boat in for the County Show.    Mrs Drever was accidentally knocked off the pier and created a big splash.  There was panic as a young man leapt in and someone threw in a life ring.  He husband cupped his hands together and shouted ‘Dinno worry Maggie, yon paps will keep thoo afloat’.
