Day 3

Our last day on Skye. We drove up towards Neist Point Lighthouse passing The Three Chimneys restaurant.  We didn't go in. These lines of cars were parked all the way to the lighthouse car park an turning  point. The lighthouse was about half a mile away down a lot of steps so as we couldn't  get a parking space near enough we decided not to bother as I don't think I could do it. We decided to go to adunvegan Castle but on the way there was a hold up as a motorhome had gone I to a ditch and was blocking the road. We sat for almost two hours before it was finally pulled out and we could pass. It was 4.30pm when we got to the Castle and it closed at 5pm so decided it wasn't  worth the £17 entry fee. We headed back hoping to stop in Portree but decided against it so headed for the campsite.
