Lighthouses . . .
. . . and the Firth of Forth.
There are two lighthouses on the Newhaven harbour breakwater. The original with the domed roof was built in 1830, then the one at the end was built in 1869.
Oh and we also have here a boat returning travellers to their cruise ship parked round the corner after guided tours of Edinburgh. The cruise ship is Norwegian on a 14 day voyage round the coast of the British Isles.(In case anyone wanted to know.)
And we also have rain - just like last year when we came for the Book Festival and stayed in the Premier Inn at Newhaven. Still, we had a lovely lunch at The Shore in Leith and there may be bookish things tomorrow.
