Spectacular Show
After yet another day of mostly hiding inside from the heat, decided last minute to drive over the Lake and up Monsaraz hill to watch, firstly, the sun setting at 20:19, beautifully illuminating the land beneath, and then, ten minutes later, the full Sturgeon moon, rising over the Spanish town of Villanueva del Fresno, to the east, and getting gradually brighter and less red as she rose higher and began to make a shining path across the Lake.
Two notable observations about this double show:
- it was utterly silent
- hardly anyone was bothering to watch it - two women watched the sunset, but then walked to their car and drove away
Gratefuls:
- remembering I had a Zoom meeting about four minutes after it started, phew!
- crossing a few things off my to do list
- having a car so we could go watch the show
