Once In A Blue Moon!

I stayed up well past midnight and the Seasonal Blue Supermoon was lighting up the meadow field behind the house, brightly.  The odd cloud was blown across quickly and I managed a hand held photo' of it.

It was nice to get a close up of this 'Seasonal Blue Supermoon'. A seasonal blue moon occurs when there are four full moons in a single season (spring, summer, fall and winter) instead of the usual three. The third moon in this lineup is a blue moon. The next seasonal blue Super Moon will be on Aug. 21, 2032!!!

Another interesting fact is the moon is at it's closest (Perigee) to Earth (224,000 miles away) this makes it appear 14% larger to us and 30% brighter!

This morning it was bucketing with rain but it's cleared to become a nice sunny day which I enjoyed mostly around the house, reading, after treating myself to a rare cooked breakfast in Ross on Wye town, as Mrs BB isn't home until this evening.  Don't tell !
