A Local Treasure
Early afternoon Mrs BB had an optician's appointment in Monmouth (south Wales, UK) so as she walked over the medieval Monnow Bridge (1272AD) I had a walk around the town enjoying the sunshine. Despite it being 21c there was a bit of a chill and I was glad I had my fleece!
She was gone so long that after nearly an hour I met her at the Opticians and we walked back over the bridge for her to treat me to a Costa Coffee (other brands are available!)
This week's W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge has the theme 'a treasure' and this unique British fortified bridge fits that as a local treasure - one I certainly always enjoy seeing living locally.
