Sally Mair - Loving life

Rainbow in Curved Air

I've used that title before I think. The album was by Terry Riley but the band whose single Back Street Luv I particularly enjoyed was Curved Air - whose singer Sonja Christina came from the Strawbs where she'd replaced Sandy Denny - who'd moved to Fairport Convention. Apologies if that means nothing to anybody else!
I drove the girls to school this morning then went on to the Bearded Baker in Canonmills to buy one of their delicious bagels. My time in the States has obviously affected me.
On my way home to devour said bagel (where it would be toasted and slathered with cream cheese) I spotted this rainbow which stayed ahead of me all the way. Rainbows always make me feel good, in this case there was no rain, just the bow which was even better.
I was home for an hour enjoying my bagel and doing puzzles, then I set out on a series of church related visits. I finished at 1. 30 just in time to head to the charity shop to do my shift there. I came away, as I often do, with a stack of lovely books for Josie. The was a top for me too as a bonus.
This evening after dinner we caught up with last night's quizzes. I was on a roll for Only Connect but much of University Challenge went straight over my head.
I texted a friend this evening who I haven't spoken to for a while only to find she was in New England and heading to Newport RI next week. What a coincidence.
My last task of the day was to pick up Eilidh from gymnastics which finished at 9pm. She was starving!
