cows

I had seen from the weather forecast that rain was expected from 10am onwards, so as soon as I got up this morning, I was out of the door for a walk with Jess, without even a sip of coffee...

The cows were up well before us, however. They had been milked and were keen to get into the field opposite the farm. This means closing the road for about 10 minutes while they troop over the road and through the gate. Jess waited very  patiently. 

It  didn't actually rain until lunchtime, but I was glad we had been out early. It's always the best part of the day :-)
