Getting the sparkle back

The Cheshire Cat

AKA Alfie. I took this photo a couple of minutes after midnight after coming back from yesterday's play - it must be my earliest blip to date, although not posted until the evening.

I went back to the Traverse Theatre with JMac to see another play, A Knock on the Roof, set in Gaza. There was a lot of humour in it, but it was ultimately tragic. It began life as a ten minute monologue in 2014 but although it has remained a monologue, it's moved on to become a full-length play. The actress, Khawla Ibraheem told us after the play had finished that she comes from Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights where the football pitch was bombed on 27th July, killing 12 children and young people. That would have been just a couple of weeks before the run of this play started.
