Dahlia 17cm

Yes I know 17cm isn't either a species or variety, however that is all the label said!  There are times when I wonder about garden centres. I have complained before about them not saying whether a plant is annual, biennial, perennial, hardy, half hardy etc.  Today's annoyance was as above, no name.  you will pick up a plant that is clearly a fern and the label says "Fern mixed" or a succulent labeled "Succulent mixed".  Rant over.

It was during one of our coffee and cake garden centre visits with Kanyl that the centre of this Dahlia caught my eye.  Fortunately we were heading north.  A lorry had turned over and caught fire so the south bound M^ was at a stand still, all three lanes.  To avoid having to fight our way through the inevitable jams on the roundabout we took the A6 north to junction 41.
