The best way to start the day
Dexter has really enjoyed his new found freedom of playing outside the 'holiday home.' This morning we found him sitting on the step of the decking with his bowl of cornflakes just watching the world go by.
Today was our last full day at Eurocamp which has been fab. We all chose to go swimming this morning where Olivia found a slide which was bigger than the 'baby slide' (as she calls it) as you had to be over the age of four but less than 10. Not sure how we have missed it all this time but it is in with the large slides for over 10's so I guess we just assumed they were all too big for her without looking at them properly. Anyhoo she soon made up for it and must have gone on it a thousand times. We all joined in for a boogie in the wave pool with the entertainment crew (Olivia has learned some cool new moves, as have we!).
Home for lunch and one of Dexter's epic early afternoon sleeps which was great as we got to pack in peace as Olivia had wangled herself a play date with a little scottish boy over at their place!
We then took one last bike ride early evening to Messanges and by coincidence stopped off a little pub type cafe selling Belgian beers (hubby was happy), ice creams (kids were happy) and orange ice lollies (Mummy was very happy as it seems orange ice lollies are hard to get these days!).
A lovely cycle through the pine trees home and then more playing outside for Olivia and her German friend who is such a sweet little girl, followed closely by Dexter.
We were rewarded with a beautiful sunset this evening on the beach which we had a great view of from our deck. I managed to take some nice photos but the photo above won as it encompasses a really happy holiday memory.
