Da Old Haa

A beautiful calm and sunny morning.  Clouded over in the afternoon, winds picked up to gales, and heavy rain all evening. 

Another early shift, up at 5am again.  A day working on the check-in desk, all flights on time.  Finished early, got my tyres sorted, then packed up the caravan.  Headed north to Yell, staying at the Burravoe caravan park for a couple of nights.

Second mini break hammered by poor weather, just typical.  Hopefully the winds and rain will calm by tomorrow, and I can get out exploring.  Poor Sammy will just have to be patient, a boring evening in the caravan for him.  I was going to attempt an evening walk, but a quick stop had to do.  The is the Old Haa of Brough.  Built in 1672 by Robert Tyrie, who was a merchant and Laird in Burravoe.  Over the years, various merchants and Hanseatic traders and their families lived in it. The Haa is now a museum for the local history group, including a tearoom and gardens.  Taken at the Old Haa, Burravoe, Yell.
