Abandoned Street

After a wild night of wind and rain, it continued into the morning.  The rain cleared, sun appeared and clear blue skies.  Still windy all day.  Ground was too wet for my planned hill hikes.

Up early, cooked breakfast in the caravan.  Very brisk walk with Sammy, then headed to Mary's shop in Aywick.  A couple of walks around Mid Yell when the rains cleared.  Back to the caravan for lunch.  Another walk around Burravoe in the afternoon.  Friend Neil (Williamson) popped by this evening with a few cans.  Bedtime walkies, now feet up with a movie.

A fine walk along the road, took us down to this old abandoned street.  Not sure what the buildings were used for, possibly a shop or something with the old fishing industry on the left.  The building in the centre is an old early 19th century merchant house.  You can almost imagine it being a buzz of activity back in the day.  Taken at Seafield, Camb, Yell.
