Colour on a grey day...
Today has been a riot of colour indoors but outside still grey and miserable.
Spent the afternoon in the studio. Some painting but the bulk of the time was spent taking photos out of photo frames and updating them with new, more recent photos, including some from Andrew and Nikki's wedding.
That done, I began food prep for tomorrow's lunch, mainly fruit for dessert; watermelon, mangoes, strawberries, pineapple, and salad vegetables. Also got the table set and serving dishes looked out. Tesco was out of stock of fresh pesto so D went on the hunt for that, finding it in good old M&S in Perth.
This is the first time Ele, Gail, Natalie and I have managed to get together since Andrew and Nikki's wedding so we will no doubt be chatting about that. I also want to get their thoughts on the redecoration of the kitchen and garden room. David, Kenny, Jim and Alan are supposed to be playing golf after lunch but the forecast is high winds (gusts of up to 40 mph!) so that may not happen.
Looking forward to seeing everyone :-)
Noted it was dark at 9pm. Sigh.
