Food glorious food...
My little salmon plater was very popular. I did serve up more than this though. Rest of lunch in extras to serve as a reminder for other lunches :-)
I was relieved I'd done the majority of the food prep yesterday as putting the lunch dishes together took longer than I thought they would. We were organised though when the first of our lunch guests, Alan and Gail, arrived at 1pm, quickly followed by Ele and Kenny and Natalie and Jim.
Lots of chat over lunch about Andrew & Nikki's wedding, the new baby that's on the way, holidays and the guy's annual Spanish golf trip that's coming up. Hoping the golf widows will be able to get together again while the golfers are away, apart from Natalie who is visiting family in Madrid.
After lunch the guys headed off to surprise surprise play golf :-) The Golf Widows had planned to go out too but we'd had quite a leisurely lunch and were comfy in the garden room, so we just stayed put and continued to blether.
The guys returned having had a good round of golf (D and Alan won, apparently by skulduggery :-) We were all supposed to go to the golf club for dinner but we were too late as they stopped serving at 7pm. We ended up having lunch left overs with the addition of pizzas.
Alan, Gail, Natalie and Jim left just after 9.30pm. Ele and Kenny were staying over. A nightcap whilst watching the Ladies Open at St Andrews was a lovely end to the day.
