Work in progress
Today we continued our work on the patch. We started to cut 20 palisades with our 230mm angle grinder. It produced a lot of granite dust, I was white afterwards, as well as my environment. (See the extra, with the courtesy of Hanulli.)
The ditch is getting less deep, because the part of the palisades above the earth is shorter. The cut-off parts will be used in other parts of the walls around the patch.
We then continued on the wall, going in a nice curve from the east wall to the north wall. We stopped at the first shorter palisades. Not because we didn't want to continue, but because we knew cement would be short. Better to buy it now, allowing us to finish the north wall tomorrow without interruption.
The nearest affordable DIY hardware store is 10km away, but we nevertheless only bought 16 bags. Better to have to buy one or two bags later, than to have one or two too many. The hardware stores take anything unused back, but cement might get wet....
