Young and alone

It was kind of damp and grey this morning but I still got my walk.  This young fella was on his own by the boardwalk in the reserve and clearly feeling rather skittery.  He disappeared fast.

It occurs to me that roebucks lead a very solitary life, only joining up with the females at mating time.  I blipped this one with his mum and two sisters when they were very small but even then he was always slightly separate from the others.
