Diamond cakes

In the late morning, Mum and Dad headed out for their afternoon tea at Fortum and Masons. It was an anniversary present. We had bought them afternoon tea in the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. It seemed appropriate for their diamond jubilee. It sounds like a lovely experience, and they appeared to have enjoyed it. They returned home with some lovely cakes, but I am unsure how long they will last.

While they were enjoying an afternoon tea, I walked to the clinic for the 'frozen shoulder' seminar. Only a few people were booked for the seminar, so the physiotherapist opted to see us all individually. I don't know if I was first, but I did not have to wait long.

After a few tests and some exercises, he concluded that it was a frozen shoulder and it was exhibiting the correct sequence of pain and lack of movement. Reassuringly, he believes it will heal over time but offered an injection that might help me with some movement. At first, I said I would wait and see how it was healing, but when I was told there was at least a six-week wait for the treatment, I decided to book it. I can always give the slot back if the movement has returned.

When everybody was back, Mum and Dad didn't want to eat, so PY and I ate leftovers and ended the evening by talking about wills and watched Britain’s Jack Draper beat Sweden’sElias Ymer in the men’s singles first round at Wimbledon.
