Angel's Wings
It had to be a hummingbird today - there are so many in the garden right now. This appears to be a hatch-year female. Her plumage is pristine and she is fat and healthy. I shot this at 1/1250 which is pretty slow for small birds in flight, but I like the motion in the wings. Personal preference.
Peg got a full night of sleep, possibly the first since this whole awful chapter with her husband started. And she has managed to get a lot of things done while sitting out on our deck in the fresh air. Death is such a complicated business with so many decisions and notifications to be made. So glad she can spend time here right now.
We have a vet appointment for Jax this evening to have them look at his teeth and also at a weird growth on his gum line. We will probably need to schedule him for a cleaning and the growth may need to be lanced - we'll see.
I'm making a recipe for Mediterranean cod tonight with olives, mushrooms and tomatoes. Hubs has made it before and it is always delicious as well as being easy to make. Then we will probably watch Kamala Harris accept the party's nomination officially. Exciting times.
