Intense colours

When I was a child, my parents often bought gladioli from the gardeners at the local allotments. I do like them, although they have a habit of toppling before all the flowers have opened.

I saw these purple ones in Aldi on Tuesday and I have them in a vase in my kitchen. I like the effect of the purple against the jade walls.

Julie left after breakfast and I have chilled out at home all day. I've been knitting, watching Pandora and sleeping. I hope I will wake with renewed energy tomorrow. 

The macro lens I dropped before my holiday is working intermittently, so a claim will have to be made tomorrow.
