The Blob (aka the Common, 14.28)

My brain is doing it again. Like my previous Blip, I see something and what comes into my head is completely different. This time it's a horror film from 1958, starring Steve McQueen, called ...... The Blob.  

My friend Neil, who's a bit of an expert on the human brain, thinks it's a bit like de-fragging your computer.  As you get older, random bits of old memory float to the surface and get in the way of new bits of memory and the brain wants to tidy it up. 

Or something like that.  I was only half listening, because when he mentioned 'de-fragging', I was immediately taken back 20-odd years or so to a plastic beige coloured box sitting on my old office desk. And thus began another horror film.
