Busy bee again ...

Another shot of a white-tailed bumble bee on our caryopteris bush. Not much time for photos today because, while our daughter-in-law is in Poland with our two youngest granddaughters, L & H, Granny has been tasked with producing the craft materials for a birthday ‘play date’ for H, who will turn five two days after they return. (L will have turned seven a couple of days before they leave Poland, and will be having a Polish birthday party.)

I have already blipped lots of the bits and pieces I’ve prepared so far, all the die cuts and punched out flowers and so forth, but today I have been printing decorative labels, and making crowns. First of all I printed some A4 card pink, and then printed a crown pattern onto the card which I had downloaded from the internet. Once the crown pieces were cut out I stitched the side panels to the front of each crown on my sewing machine for a neat finish.

Once the girls have decorated their crowns with jewels and other embellishments, they can wear them by slotting the two side pieces together down the slits I’ve made at the top and bottom.
