Annabelle Hydrangeas

I haven't touched sides today, quite normal after being away from home for so long. We had a short and sharp burst of rain first thing this morning, then thankfully it was sunny for the rest of the day although rather windy.

After breakfast I went grocery shopping, the fridge was empty so I had to restock most things. After unpacking all the groceries I realised I was late for my hairdresser appointment, so set off in haste. When I got to my hairdresser the road was closed due to roadworks - we have roadworks all around us wherever we travel at the moment, it is causing such traffic delays - I decided to park my car where the road was closed and walked very quickly the remaining 600m to my hairdresser rather than diverting all the way around. My hair is much better after that visit, in the summer sun it bleaches significantly and goes a bit too light so I had the colour corrected.

I got home in time for a very late lunch after crawling along through all the traffic. I spent the afternoon transferring the images off my laptop on to my computer, and catching up on banking and personal admin including booking the car in for a service and MOT. A quick wander around the garden to check what is left of the summer flowers - the beautiful white Annabelle hydrangeas are mainly green now, they turn green and then brown and I usually pick a few of the brown dried ones as they look good in a vase.

It is nearly dinner time and I have not started supper yet - tonight it's a seafood risotto, I thought that Tommy needed some variation in his diet as he tends to cook the same things for himself, and with us being away it must have been getting monotonous for him!

I will catch up with journals....it's been a busy day settling in.
