Talisker

Bit of a lie in despite having to get up and check out. Had a great time at Kinloch Lodge with some wonderful food and wine.

Headed over to Portree to have a wonder around for half an hour in the drizzle that had set in for the day.

Next stop was Isle of Skye Oysters in Talisker bay just up the hill from the Distillery. J and Linda tried an oyster before getting a few bits. The owner had picked the oysters from the bay at 5am this morning. Can't get much fresher than that. With supplies in small cool bags it was off to the Old Inn for lunch followed by a trip around the Talisker Distillery.

Nice tour guide but a bit of a sterile distillery. Everything is behind glass and no photos are allowed anywhere but in the warehouse, which is behind a window. Health and Safety gone mad or more like Diageo not wanting you to take photos.

After a 5 dram tasting it was the long drive home.

Linda seemed to enjoy herself despite looking a bit tired. Glad to see her again and be able to spend some quiet time away.
