A Roman in the phone box!

Today we went to visit our son and all the family had lunch at his house to celebrate his Birthday. I took all the food and my daughter made a Birthday cake. The highlight for the twin grandchildren was playing with the new kittens they have there who are very friendly and easy to handle. 

After, when the rain had stopped, we went for a walk round the village and opposite the pub the phone box has a new resident because earlier this year some locals did some research and found that a Roman road had gone through the village. Lots of info and a map on a board outside. When you open the phone box you hear “ Shut the door. I’m on the phone to Rome!” 

We drove there in quite heavy rain but were lucky that it had cleared for our return journey and we had sun. But a few minutes ago we had a huge downpour, I’ve seen lightning and hear thunder as I write this!
