A lovely walk

We decided to have a long walk this morning before going back to Chris's this afternoon. The weather forecast for this morning was so much better for the North West than for the East Midlands. We had a lovely long circular walk to the canal then back home via the village cafe where we had a lovely lunch. The sun shone and it was quite warm. We did feel a spot of rain but it came to nothing. 
We had a great journey back to Chris's no hold ups on our side of the motorway but going North was a different story such a long queue both on the motorway and through Stoke to Junction 16. We drove through one very short shower. The building site looks like some thing from the apocalypse so much worse than when we left on Tuesday. At least there is no more work until Tuesday.
