Olde world sea-side charm

Another busy day, started off measuring up for material, for photographic purposes of course!
Then a detour to get some, but can't take me in to a fabric/ craft shop and get me out quickly, it's like a child in a sweet shop!
On to Formby point, beautiful wood land, very popular at the start of the school break.
Picnic before setting off own our cycle ride, along railway, across golf course and but the woods, before going along seafront towards beach. Then along to Southport, missed the start of the cycle lane, soon jumped across.
Then up and along the front a bit further, to the RSPB reserve, then inland to the Botanical gardens. These were lovely, just the place for an ice cream stop. On to Hesketh Park, with stunning fountains, more photo opportunities. Then back along the marine lake side, with a stop at this old shelter, time to try out mean and moody arty shots.
Finally an old fashioned carousel, quick moto-challenge in the amusements, before turning home. Suddenly realising the time gave us a bit of concern about car getting locked in. So very relieved to be able to get out with ease.
Back to base, quick shower and out to Chinese buffet, now letting the food settle whilst we photo sort.
