Upper Lodge Water Gardens, Bushy Park
Baroque-style pools and cascades, created in 1710 by the 1st Earl of Halifax as a private recreational garden. The area has been completely restored in the last few years, and looked splendid today. A tranquil spot, temperature hitting 32C this afternoon. There is a very interesting video in the link here about it's restoration.
I used my polarising filter today, and also took this with a faster shutter speed, as I like the effect on the water - best seen in "large".
We enjoyed a few hours walking around Bushy Park, down the Chestnut Avenue to the Diana Fountain, and then into the Woodland Garden. We saw several deer trying to find shade under the trees.
This evening, we went to see Swinging Boy appear in his school show. Excerpts from "Oliver". He had a solo and did very well indeed. We are all very proud of him.
