GIN TRIP DAY 2

Today was Clair’s actual birthday but it is a 4 day affair We had our usual croissant breakfast and then headed into town. We weren’t expecting to be impressed with Basingstoke but we were pleasantly surprised.
#they posed outside the theatre we thought we were going to!! ( see yesterdays blip!!)
# we posed with Jane Austin ..she didn’t mind!!
#then because we had so many sandwiches from yesterday (and I hate waste) we were supposed to have them in the cinema but we had a shopping mall picnic!!
# then after a bit of shopping and a couple of coffee stops we went to the cinema to see It Ends With Us…a good film and the reclining seats was just what was required after all that walking. (ssshhh Clair had a snooze…well she’s old now)
We think it might be the first time just the 3 of us have gone to the cinema in 30 years of friendship!!! (We may have gone with the children when they were in primary school!)
Then the plan was to go home get dressed up for a birthday dinner but we were tired and it was raining so when we passed a Chinese restaurant we had to go in.
#this is the amazing talking robot waiter that brought your food to the table. It caused much hilarity. Especially when it arrived singing Happy Birthday and had an ice cream cake on it with a candle !!!
## we had such a fabulous meal.

We got home at 9pm and realised we still hadn’t had a drop of alcohol to celebrate Clair’s birthday. A bedtime baileys sorted that!!!
