GIN TRIP DAY 3
Well there was definitely excitement in the air this morning as C woke us up with “come on wakey wakey it’s gin time!!”
I cooked scrambled eggs and smoked salmon…our substantial breakfast for the day ahead!!!
We stopped at a garden centre…not one with a shop and cafe as we expected. It literally was a plot of land with plants!!!
#So we went onto silk mill and had a cuppa by the duck pond. Their ducking and diving was very entertaining!!
Then it was on to the Bombay Gin Distillery.
#C was rather excited when she spotted the cocktail master class through the window!!
We had a substantial lunch for the day ahead!!! :)))
# The tour started with a G&T that we had to finish in 15mins whilst we watched a short film. :))) so difficult!!!
#then we had a brilliant tour with a very very enthusiastic tour guide. We posed outside the famous glasshouses.
Then onto the masterclass cocktail making session. It all started out so calm but got pretty messy after 3 more cocktails. It was such fun.
## The girls were creased up and tearful with laughter!!!
# C received an email offering her a free birthday cocktail. She didn’t want to drink alone so she bought L and I another one!!!!
I could tell C was past it when she got rather emotional over an apron we got her from the gift shop!!!!
We left L’s car and got a taxi home for obvious reasons!!
When we got back we settled down on the large double bed to watch a film. It wasn’t long before C and I were snoring:)))
# And yes we bought matching nighties again!!!
What an amazing day. Great value; would thoroughly recommend.
C said it was the best birthday she has had for 15 years!!! Think it was a success.
