He’s back! Hanging on the feeder this morning………
……which I reinstated yesterday. Didn’t take him long to find it!
It was so much more chilly first thing, with an icy blue clear sky, and very cool breeze. Clouded over during the day and one or two half hearted attempts at showers.
The Goldfinches are back too. I was so pleased to see three of them squabbling on the sunflower heart feeder.
A beautiful Siskin turned up but just needs to figure out how to get at the food! I just watched him rather than dash for my old camera at the time. Bright yellow flashes on his wings and a lovely speckled breast.

We went to church after breakfast, and the service had not long got underway with all the musicians on the platform when the fire alarms sounded all over the building. We were all marshalled into the car park opposite by the two separate entrances.
It was all done very calmly.
The building was secured and we watched for fire engines.
In the event it had been a practice drill.
They did an amazing job keeping it a secret so it really felt like the real thing It’s a good idea to have a drill in the event of a real fire.
One of the people in the car park was at our church for the first time!
An introduction she won’t forget!
I dozed off this afternoon halfway through watching “”Dial M for Murder”. Such a classic Hitchcock film with Grace Kelly.
And lovely to see it in colour.
Soon be teatime,
