Early morning swim
Ann hasn't done an early morning swim for more than a week. These days she often goes for a swim after Zumba, which finishes at 10am and I don't go to Zumba!
I LOVE going for an early morning swim with Ann. We normally leave the house about 7.30am and walk along Porthmeor Beach to Porthgwidden Beach. I take my bouncy ball with me and we play all the way to Porthgwidden where we meet the 'Dippers & Swimmers' group.
By the time I get to Porthgwidden Beach I am physically tired because I've been running for half an hour so it's quite nice that I get to have a half hour rest while Ann splashes around in the sea. However, even though I'm physically resting; mentally I'm very alert. I either sit at the waters edge or I sit by the rock where Ann has left her clothes. And I NEVER take my eyes off her. My job is to keep an eye on Ann (and her stuff) and make sure that she doesn't float too far away.
Everyone comments on what a good little Collie pup I am. There's always loads of other doggies who come walking on the beach but I just ignore them all, because I am a Collie and I have a job to do..................... And that is keep an eye on my human. Obviously when Ann is in the sea, she is also keeing an eye on me mainly to make sure I don't go wandering off to have a poo, lol.
Ann usually swims for 20-30 mins and then we walk home via Porthmeor Beach so I get to have another half hour play with my ball. How fabulous is that?!
