Sunday: “Size of Wales” Garden

Back in May I was watching Chelsea Flower Show coverage on TV - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3240070149872551380 - I was shocked and surprised that one of the show exhibits was to be moved to Treborth Garden which is only six miles from our home!

We woke up at 7am this morning to drizzle and a chilly 12°C, MrD had mentioned an outing yesterday and it was the first thing I was thinking about when I got up …!

The road wasn’t too busy, no queues on the suspension bridge, there weren’t too many people or cars on the approach road, so we parked up and walked down the path towards the Menai Strait.

The path is through woodland which made it very pleasant, trees still in leaf and provided shelter from the rain, we walked alongside the Strait stopping for a while at the Peace Statue, see extra, then continued until we saw a glimpse of “Ynys Gorad Goch” which I’ve blipped often -  https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2313989507600353929

We continued along the path and came out on the sports field, the rain was heavy without the shade of the trees, we decided to go back the way we’d come and stay dry!

We eventually found “the garden” - I took some quick photos, but we’ll go back on a dry day to better appreciate the plants and structures :-))

It rained for the rest of the day and didn’t warm up at all, this evening MrD has switched the heating on!
