Sgwarnog: In the Field

Copper

It had been eleven days since I’d had a walk on my own patch, and it seemed the brambles had tangled themselves into the bracken even more in my absence.

I was rewarded with a decent variety of butterflies in the sunny spells, including 20+ Peacock in one meadow, but also small numbers of Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Green-veined White, Speckled Wood, Comma and this single Small Copper.

Back in the village I caught the start of the Harley Davidson rideout for the first time in a few years (extra).

Later, I headed down to Saltaire for music at the Live Room, with Nashville based singer-songwriter Andrew Combs headlining.
