Cake!

A bit of a slow start to the day, I do recall, but then I settled down with iMovie to splice together sections of video for the boat club. This time, MP’s instructions on how to put the work tower together. Right riveting. Without rivets, mind: M8 nuts, so a 13mm spanner is all you need.
Then up to the daughter’s for a little birthday celebration. Yes, for me. Last day of being 67. And there was cake and prosecco and excited little people. And I got presents too - a set of delightful pocket sized rums, a pair of slipper socks and best of all, to match my jeans and jacket, a pair of denim oven gloves! Most generous and lovely.
Back to watch This Much I Know To Be True with Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, playing through their last two studio albums, Ghosteen and Carnage. Wonderful as ever and made me realise I don’t know Carnage very well at all. The performance of White Elephant was just terrific. I think I may get religion when I get any older. God willing.
