Moseley Old Hall and Kinver Edge Rock Houses
Another grey but less windy day today.
We headed off to National Trust properties at Moseley Old Hall and Kinver Rock Houses. Both were fascinating in very different ways.
I purchased a 1907 Photography ‘how to’ book in the second hand bookshop at Kinver. Should be interesting to see what was in vogue then.
My Blip is of the range inside one of the rock houses that have been carved within the sandstone cliffs.
Extra 1 is from Moseley.
Extra 2 is a wash house at Kinver.
Extras 3 to 5 are from Moseley.
The facade of Moseley is Victorian in style but hiding behind this exterior is the interior of an an Elizabethan house. Its claim to fame is that Charles II hid here after the Battle of Worcester and they had the bed he slept in on display.
Extra 6 was from last night at the RSC where we saw the Merry Wives of Windsor. Excellent production, great acting and very funny.
