Oxide Magic

Inspired by something I saw online, a recent wheel thrown bowl, I used cobalt oxide under a honey coloured glaze.  I think it turned out rather well.   The oxide when applied is like a black wash, looks most unpromising but interacting with the glaze in the kiln brings colours out like magic.

An EB on a busy day.  Eight hours in the kitchen at Aber Cafe plus an evening of singing.   Jamie came in to spend some time with Meg at mine and she was at his while I was singing.   A couple of days off now, some pottery and lots of bulb  repotting planned.   We'll see what actually happens!
