Day 3 Paddling pool

Katie wanted to go out first thing today so I walked with her to the nearest library which we were told had a nice childrens section. We arrived to find out that in fact we had come just in time for their story and rhyme time. She was shy for a few minutes but soon joined in. She did some colouring in too, sat in their book train. There were three other people there with their babies/children in carriers and wraps, which Katie always likes spotting. She got up in hers on the way home so that she could munch most of a French baguette. Cheese and strawberries when we got to Lizzies finished off her lunch.

Mid afternoon, a friend came round. I haven't seen her since photographing her wedding about 5 years ago. Since then she has had two small boys, one of whom is just 3 and a baby who is 4months old. They had a fabulous time all together. Katie and Barney had a lot of fun in the paddling pool. We were out in it for most of the afternoon. They were also on an eating mission. They devoured all the fruit in lizzie's house nearly, plus a few other bits we could find. And still Katie ate a big tea.

As I sorted out our packing, Katie and Anna were playing downstairs with Lizzie. I came down to find the two of them cuddled up on the sofa making each other laugh hysterically. We've had such a great time with them this week!

(and yes, Katie did indeed spend most of this holiday in her swim stuff, playing in water!)
