The party’s over. Time to call it a day. No more cavorting, well, not until tomorrow.
And a missive arrives from the landlords. We have two sets of these - one shower who rent us land and who are crooks registered in Jersey, and another crowd who rent us the mud in the harbour. This is from the latter crew. The lease is for twenty years but every three years the rent is adjusted by RPI. So we’re facing a hike of 28.6% in rent. You didn’t know that Putin invading Ukraine and the resultant increase in gas prices would make Granton mud more expensive, eh? 
Nowt much we can do about it; we’re over a barrel. And you know what we get for our money? That’s right, nothing. 
Meanwhile this same crowd have been recipients of big government money (“that’s your money and my money btw”) which they've used to build a new dock at Leith. For “renewables." A "green" Freeport. Just this very day, I saw the third cruise liner docked at it. It’s all as transparent as the water in the harbour.
