Sunlit rose

Tuesday
Sweltering temperatures today, so much of the day was spent inside, reading, doing Duolingo, and housework. We did venture out to the Y late afternoon for a swim -:the outdoor pool will be closing the end of this Labor Day weekend. However, even now, it doesn’t open til 4pm, as they don’t have enough lifeguards now all the students are back to school. I didn’t do a very long swim, but afterwards I found a spot in the shade to read my book.
When we got back home I went outside to find something to blip, but then when I came back into the breakfast room, the evening sun was illuminating the roses on the table beautifully, so one of those became my blip instead.
