Batsford Butterflies

We've been to a couple of garden centres this afternoon in search of a statue to fill the gap where the water feature used to be. We've come to the conclusion that a bird bath might be a better idea, especially as it will be located next to the external tap so might get filled from time to time. We saw one we liked but have to decide if we think it will be imposing enough.

We finished up at Batsford so after the obligatory drinks and cake we had a quick 30 minutes around the arboretum.

There were butterflies on the buddleia. A red admiral in the main blip and a large white (I think) in the extra. That's two, so twice as many as I saw on our buddleia this year.

We did look at some sundials too, but they were all a bit small.
