Wet Stones
I picked up these two stones (about 6 inches/15 cms) off the beach at Findhorn, and now they are in our garden. I spotted them as striking/beautiful, and I liked the lines and shades. I also recognised how much geological history there was in the way the different rocks had been mixed. This history continued as the rock was broken up and then smoothed by the action of the sea (possibly rivers too).
I knew that they needed to be an outside feature as they were wet when I picked them up, which highlights the colours and contrasts. And today it rained!
I was going to post an extra of the rocks when dry, but they were so dull and much flatter, so I didn't.
